YOUR CHILD ..... YOUR SCHOOL ..... YOUR SAY

We know that parents make a real difference to children's learning; when parents are involved in school our young people do better and achieve more.  Accordingly, all parents automatically become members of our Parents' Forum upon joining the Grangefield School community.

The Forum is an organisation which is managed by parents for parents, with the support of school. It has the following aims:

  • to work together with everyone involved in school life to support and promote learning,
  • to give parents a voice and increase their active involvement in decision-making,
  • to support parents, helping overcome any barriers to engaging with school, to strengthen learning and raise achievement.

The Parents' Forum meets regularly to consider school policies and procedures , discuss concerns raised by other parents and plan activities to help parents better understand the ways in which they can support their children in making good progress in school.

All parents are welcome to attend the Forum meetings; minutes of previous meetings are available on the website and dates of future meetings are published through the school newsletter, the Oak Tree News.  The Forum is supported by Caroline McHale, Director of Community Services and Mark Thomas, Parent Support Advisor.

If you would like to find out more about the work of our Parents' Forum, or suggest an are for consideration at a future meeting, please e-mail us at parents.forum@grangefield.stockton.sch.uk or complete the form below.
