Welcome to Our School

Children in Need

A great big Pudsey paws up to the Grangefield community which together raised at least £1565 today for Children in Need. Our Head Boy and Girl raised over £400 in sponsorship to be dressed as Pudsey and Blush for the day, and our grateful thanks go to everyone who donated cakes for our 'Bake a Difference' cake sale, including a fantastic Pudsey cake from Anthony Hamilton in Year 7 and £14.16 raised by Jenny Burke in Year 9 from her own cake sale. Our children and staff made donations to wear non-uniform for the day and the local community supported a group of students who gave their time to plant bulbs and pick litter in the local area.   We think this is a fantastic achievement and we are very proud of our young people.    Well done everyone !!

Grangefield is an established co-educational comprehensive school of around 1200 students aged 11-16, situated in the heart of the borough of Stockton-on-Tees. We have been a specialist Technology College since 1999, and are fortunate to have the Teesside City Learning Centre on our site.

Some of our standards and values are traditional, such as a school uniform and an insistence on hard work in class and with homework; we make no apology for this. This traditional ethos is balanced and complemented by our position at the forefront of educational development.

As our motto – “From Acorns to Oaks” – implies, the educational achievement of every student is at the heart of what we do at Grangefield. Academic standards have risen significantly over the last few years, such that more young people are leaving us with the qualifications that enable them to pursue their chosen pathway at 16.

We believe in strong links with parents, and the wider community; the support of parents is vital if our students are to thrive and gain the maximum benefit from the education we provide
